Grow lighting can also be utilized indoors in garden rooms very effectively; putting the gardener in total control of the seasons in his/her garden environment, thus allowing for multiple harvests per year. Horticultural Grow Lighting requires specific spectrums favorable to plant life, while achieving and maintaining a high lumen output. These spectrums can be attained with H.I.D. & High Output Fluorescent Lighting. High Intensity Discharge Lamps (H.I.D.), are high wattage incandescent bulbs that fall under two categories; High Pressure Sodium (H.P.S.) or Metal Halide (M.H.). Recent advances in technology have brought us High Output (H.O.) Fluorescent lighting.


For Vegetative Growth (BLUE Spectrum Lighting):

T5 High Output Fluorescents (Prefferred in most cases)
H.I.D. - (MH) Metal Halide (in some circumstances)


For Fruiting / Flowering Stage (RED/ORANGE Spectrum):

H.I.D - (HPS) High Pressure Sodium (Preffered over-all)
